Scholarships & financial support
In addition to the admission requirements set by the organizers of CICCR, specific eligibility requirements must be fulfilled to apply for a VLIR-UOS scholarship. Candidates whose country of residence and nationality is not covered by VLIR-UOS can apply for a UNESCO scholarship, on the condition that they demonstrate convincingly why they cannot pay for the course themselves, and have proof of efforts to apply for financial support elsewhere.
CICCR only has a limited number of scholarships available and is not able to provide financial support to all successful applicants. We therefore recommend all candidates to seriously consider possibilities of looking for funding themselves.
Sometimes the organisation or institute you work for can offer financial support. Otherwise, you may approach organisations such as regional and local offices of UNICEF, Save the Children or other government bodies that work in the area of human and children’s rights. Other options include national organisations or local offices of other international governmental organisations, such as UNESCO, World Bank, Council of Europe, embassies and non-governmental organisations such as Plan International. To enhance your chances you can always approach multiple sponsors.
It is, however, important to be aware of the fact that time is limited and applying for sponsoring often takes time. Therefore, we recommend to apply for financial support as soon as possible.
